Spiritual roots and significant connections

The date of foundation, May 8th, is closely linked to the famous apparition of Saint Michael the Archangel at Monte Sant’Angelo in Italy. In view of this spiritual site, FSMA has a particularly close relationship with the saints associated with this region:
● Saint Francis of Assisi: He personally visited the shrine at Sant’Angelo and held Saint Michael in deep reverence.
● Saint Padre Pio: As he ministered in San Giovanni Rotondo, a town situated near Monte San Angelo, he often recommended that his faithful make a pilgrimage to the shrine of Saint Michael as a sign of penance.
